All is Full of Love

It’s raining outside. Just like on that day in June 2004. I’m half way through my year of solo travelling around the world. I have just left Australia after an unforgettable summer road trip and have arrived in Auckland, New Zealand. Winter is here. I wander through the city and come across the Video Art Biennale, I believe at the Auckland Art Gallery. There is a small dark room with a wall to wall screen. Cunningham’s mesmerising sci-fi tech porn video for Bjork’s All is Full of Love plays in an endless loop. It’s the perfect soundtrack for my mood. I sit and watch for almost 45 minutes. It’s hypnotic. I will never forget how I felt. And this song will always remind me of that day.
